I'm looking for suggestions on troubleshooting my 78 Liquifire 440. I blew a piston a few years back. Last year I rebuilt the top end, pistons, rings, gaskets. I also installed new coils, fuel lines, cleaned carbs but did not rebuild. New spark plugs and gas. She still runs on one. thanks,

Just a couple of things first. Is the plug wet from gas on the cylinder thats not firing? and is it getting enough gas? also is the spark good and strong on that cylinder? If so did you try spraying starting fluid around all of your seals to see if you have a air leak if you do and the motor reves up then there is your prob. You also stated that you did the top end of the motor seals & gasgets, but did you replace the end seals around the crank behind the flywheel & clutch? That was the prob. with my 80 sport it would only run on one cylinder. Once I sprayed starting fluid around the seal I found the prob. Give that a try and good luck.

Both spark plugs are wet. I have very good spark on both plugs. I will try the starting fluid when I get a chance, to check seals. Thanks for your reply!
